Ian is officially pushed off the docks and about 2/4 of the way there. He should be in Mackinac Island late tonight or early tomorrow.
On Friday night, we spent the night in the wonderful city of Chicago. Ian met me at the train station an we walked to the hotel together from there. While downtown, we stayed at the Palmer House which was a very nice hotel. We both enjoyed our stay and the staff was friendly and helpful. After dropping off my bag, we were off walking towards the Chicago Yacht Club for the big party. A lot of Vineyard Vines, Lilly Pulitzer, and J.McLaughlin to be seen. I went with my classic ag dark skinny jeans, my all time favorite wedges, vineyard vines tank top, and my vineyard vines clutch. We also went to our favorite place: Three Dots and a Dash.
This morning, my family met me downtown to attend the ashore thing party. This party was hosted on the navy pier where people came out from the city or the suburbs to watch the boats go by. They had an announcer who would announce the boat, crew, and fun facts if there were any. Ian's boat got there earlier than expected, as they pushed off the dock earlier than expected.

I decided to go with a classic navy dress with my cork Jack Rogers. My sister wore a cute navy and white striped maxi dress from J.Crew Factory with Sam Edelman sandals.
