When thinking of what cocktail to share, gin kept coming to mind. Maybe it's because I haven't had gin in a while or maybe it's just because I am craving it. But here's my excuse to run to the store and grab a bottle of my favorite (Bombay Sapphire).
Gin, Lime, and Mint
Ingredients:
2 ounces of gin
1 ounce of freshly squeezed lime juice
3/4 ounce of simple syrup
1 sprig of mint
1 fresh mint leaf
Directions:
Combine gin, lime juice, simple syrup, and mint sprig in a shaker. Add some ice.
Shake, Shake, Shake baby
Strain into a chilled martini glass (yea we're going that fancy)
Garnish with a mint leaf
Take a deep breath and then a good sip.

This weekend, as mentioned in yesterday's post, we are hosting some visitors at my aunt's house. My mom and her co-workers are coming in town to shop a merchandise mart downtown and staying at the house. My sister is coming along for the ride to hang out with me this weekend.
