Hi Gorgeous!!
Lemme start out with saying how sorry I am this is so late. You cannot even imagine how busy my schedule has gotten this past week! With my years at college coming to an end, I have a lot to do in regards to future plans, finals, and projects. Not to mention planning a graduation outfit and a party! For high school, my mom went all out and did a nice, dinner provided party. For college, I wanted to keep it really simple- desserts, drinks, and games. So we are planning on having an abundance of desserts, wine-beer-&rum punch, and ping pong tables set up. Let's just cross our fingers it doesn't rain.
Mother's day (May 10th) is a week away, and I'm not even done shopping for my mom yet! Since my mom probably reads my posts, I will not be sharing what I bought her for mother's day this year. Instead I'll be sharing some ideas for you to gift your mom with.
Flowers: I am not talking about the flowers you buy at the store, I'm talking about flowers you plant (well you still have to buy those at the store, but you know what I mean!) A new planter is the perfect gift to go with a bag of seeds.

Pamper Herself: 2 years ago, my sister and I got my mom a gift card to a spa near our house. We were really excited about getting her this gift because she never takes a minute to herself. Buying a gift certificate to a spa day tells your mom how much you appreciate her and how much you want her to relax!
Jewelry: I'm not big into buying people jewelry. I feel like that is something everyone wants to buy for themselves. However, the alex and ani bracelets are the perfect gift for mothers day!

Over this past weekend, Ian and I got a lot done! Friday night we went out for a well deserved date night! Some might've seen on my Instagram, but we had Mexican for dinner with fancy margaritas, dessert at a whiskey house, and ended the night at a local bar to watch the baseball game. This is what I wore for dinner:
Saturday, lucky Ian got to go sailing and I had to stay on land. With four finals this week, I cannot loose five hours of studying time! So my day was pretty boring compared to his. Saturday night it was one of our friend's birthday party. We stopped by their camp site (camping birthday party-how fun!) and shared a few laughs and some beers. It was so nice to catch up around a bonfire and celebrate her birthday!
Today, Ian is once again sailing but I stayed home to get things done. I saw that the weather was going to be beautiful, so I threw on my bikini, grabbed my study guide and studied outside. It's so nice being able to tan and study at the same time. Now I am going to shower and fix my nails for the week.
Before you go- do you have a recipe for a rum punch? I am wanting to serve rum punch next weekend but haven't found a recipe I like yet. ( I've only tried out one!) If so, please leave a comment below!
