Embrace the Brights

Hi Gorgeous!!

Thanks for reading my (new) blog! I am really excited about the adventure to come from posting daily.

Yesterday, my boyfriend and mom helped me by taking a few pictures for my college graduation announcements. I cannot believe it's already been four years that I have been in college. It seems pretty crazy. As I age, I find that time keeps speeding up. If only I could go back to that 11 year old girl who was dreaming of being in her twenties and tell her "Slow down! Stop looking forward and enjoy the moment now". It hit me a year ago that I was becoming more of an adult when I was telling my aunt "I will do that in my twenties..." when she looked at me laughing saying "Amanda, you are in your twenties!"

This is one of the pictures my boyfriend captured yesterday during our walk through the park near my house. I was shocked when I saw how good some of these photos turned out (he's not really a photographer!).

Choosing an outfit for any "photo shoot" is always a hard choice. I feel like some of my clothes get jealous but then I remind myself- THEY'RE CLOTHES! Yesterday I decided to wear my new favorite Joe's Jeans! Let me just say this before you judge: designer jeans may seem like a lot of money at first, but you honestly get what you pay for. All of my jeans are a bit on the pricier side, but they look great on and they last for awhile. I chose to wear this fun, bright pink top. And you'll love this part- I got it at Old Navy for 25 DOLLARS! (25% off online until Sunday!) I totally forgot Old Navy existed until a few weeks ago and they have some really cute styles out for spring/summer! I also wore my all time favorite wedges, which were made by Franco Sarto. Unfortunately I got them four years ago, but I'll include a link at the bottom for a similar pair.

I used to be afraid of wearing bright colors, thinking others would see it as childish. (The lady who checked me out at Old Navy actually thought this tank top was a child's dress!) But I say don't be afraid. Don't be afraid to let your personality shine by wearing bright colors. I feel really pretty whenever I wear bright colors, especially after this past grey winter season we just had (I was wondering if it was ever going to end!!!)

Thanks for reading my post! I hope I entertained you enough to come back to visit my site. Don't forget to check out the links below!
