In honor of my boyfriend's sister turning the big 21 today, I'm going to share a girly drink. It also makes up for my computer free weekend, which is why I didn't post anything this past weekend!
Who says the weekend can't spill into our Monday evenings? Mondays are hard enough, we deserve a cocktail at the end of the day!
In honor of Alina's 21st birthday I decided to share a fun twist on a Cosmo! What's more girly than a cosmo?! I also am pretty sure she has these ingredients at home if she wants to make one before heading out for the night.
Blood Orange Cosmo
Ingredients
4 Ounces of Orange Flavored Vodka
2 Ounces of Fresh Blood Orange Juice (or regular fresh orange juice)
1 1/2 Ounces of Campari
Lemon Twist for Garnish (if you're feeling fancy!)
Fill a cocktail shaker up with ice and add the vodka, freshly squeezed orange juice, and Campari and then shake vigorously until nice and cold.
Strain the chilled mix into 2 chilled martini glass and garnish with a lemon twist
Cheers! Happy Birthday Alina!
How was you're 4th of July weekend?! I had a ton of fun myself! My aunts and I headed back to STL to spend the weekend at my family's lake house.
On Friday we hung out in STL because I had two moles removed while we were in town. And yes it was as painful as it sounds. Then we headed out to the lake house Friday night where we grilled hamburgers and played some family friendly games!
On Saturday we had a nice relaxing morning on the deck, eating breakfast and looking at my aunts' building plans. For the afternoon we went out to the beach and hung out on a huge raft we got so I didn't get wet. (With the surgery on Friday, I couldn't swim at all this past weekend!)  The fireworks were amazing at the club we are a part of. They usually go all out and a little crazy with the finale.
Sunday we woke up and visited for a while with the family before heading back to Chicago around 1 pm. When we got home, we kicked back, ate some pizza and watch Grace & Frankie. (If you  haven't watched that show, I highly suggest it! Very funny)
I hope y'all had a great weekend, comment below with what you did for the holiday!
XOXO-Mandie
